During the month of December we ran and campaign inviting Junior riders to apply to our program of development. We thank all who have applied and are currently evaluating all the applications. We will be contacting every rider individually and meeting them to discuss their future. The Irish Talented Athlete Program is a development environment for young talent to become professional athletes. The program itself would not be available but for its sponsors, partners and volunteers. iTap does not receive any support for the Government, Local Authorities, Cycling Ireland or any other National Governing Organisation. We would like for you all to support those who support iTap.
iTap have invited Joshus Franics to the program for the 2015 & 2016 season. Josh will ride in his MTN colours for the 2015 season as he is a second year junior He will receive all his training prescriptions and athlete services from iTap as required for his development pathway and will be managed on the road and be supported at races by family, friends and iTap where necessary. In 2016 this will be Josh’s first year as an U23 and he will become part of the development road squad riding in the iTap colours which are to be unveiled at a launch shortly. Josh spends his time by dividing it between Ireland & South Africa. The Irish winter being spent in SA and then traveling back to Ireland for the summer racing season. If only we all were so lucky! iTap is delighted to have Josh on board and we know that he will give 100% commitment to his Goal of becoming a professional bike rider.
We will have more press releases between now and the end of the month on further rider appointments.
Happy Miles from Team iTap.
